Case Study: New York University achieves greater agility with WSO2

A WSO2 Case Study

How NYU used WSO2 to become a more agile organization

New York University, a large global higher-education institution, needed a way to move beyond a New York-centric data center model while avoiding disruption to its many existing systems and users. NYU turned to WSO2, using its Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) to modernize integration without “touching everything else and breaking it.”

WSO2 implemented a lightweight ESB architecture running in the cloud on Amazon web services, decoupling NYU’s services at the UI, middleware, and data layers. This let NYU add and extend functionality incrementally, support new cloud-based applications, and roll out or roll back services in real time with low latency. The result was a more agile organization with interoperable legacy and new systems, while NYU continued to run the WSO2 ESB reliably with 100% uptime requirements in mind.
