A WSO2 Case Study
The E-Government Center of Moldova faced a major challenge: rapidly digitizing all public services nationwide with limited budgets, while overcoming fragmented government systems, poor communication between agencies, and incompatible legacy technologies. To build a unified interoperability platform for citizens and businesses, the team used WSO2 middleware, including the WSO2 Enterprise Service Bus and related services.
WSO2 helped the E-Government Center of Moldova connect diverse legacy systems without changing the underlying data sources, enabling authentication, messaging, payments, and scalable data exchange across government departments. The platform reached about 5,000 messages per second with just two ESB nodes, and today much of Moldova’s government services are online, supporting broader public-sector reform and continued digital expansion.
