HHNK cuts costs by up to €600,000 a year with WSO2

The Dutch water management authority Hoogheemraadschap Hollands Noorderkwartier (HHNK) needed to reduce operational costs, improve efficiency and transparency, and simplify the tax payment process for citizens. To address this, HHNK worked with vendor WSO2 and its partner Yenlo, implementing the WSO2 integration platform to create a new online tax portal.

By using the WSO2 platform, HHNK built a user-friendly digital portal that streamlined operations. This solution delivered significant measurable results: a 25% reduction in telephone calls saved approximately €40,000 annually, while savings from reduced internal resources and lower banking costs totaled around €350,000 per year. Overall, WSO2 helped HHNK achieve total annual cost reductions between €400,000 and €600,000, while also increasing flexibility for the organization.
