ScottishPower, a UK energy and utilities company, needed a secure way to expose data and services to an increasing number of external partners and third parties while improving customer communications and service delivery. To address this, ScottishPower evaluated API management options and piloted WSO2 API Manager as part of its move to support safer, more customer-friendly digital services.

WSO2 implemented WSO2 API Manager across two Glasgow data centers, giving ScottishPower a central platform for secure API exposure and omnichannel integration, including SMS and tablet-based customer sign-ups. As a result, ScottishPower could work more proactively with partners, expand customer services, and strengthen stakeholder relationships through more efficient, accessible service delivery.
