Eurecat, a technology provider based in Spain, required a solution to process real-time data from iBeacon sensors for a retail project, enabling them to detect customer locations and trigger events. They faced the challenge of handling a high volume of low-level events and needed a robust platform for complex event processing and integration.

WSO2 implemented a solution using its Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) to collect events and its Complex Event Processor (CEP) to analyze the data in real time using the Siddhi query language. This architecture allowed Eurecat to successfully build a system that could detect customer proximity and automate notifications, choosing WSO2 for its performance, security, and connectivity. The vendor noted that planned future improvements included adding data analytics and enhancing scalability.
