ELM Manages Identities of 4 Million Government Program Users with WSO2 Identity Server

ELM, a trusted provider of secure electronic services in Saudi Arabia, faced a challenge in managing the user identities of approximately 4 million citizens for the national Unemployment Assistance Program. As the program expanded, they needed to streamline administration by implementing a single sign-on (SSO) solution. After evaluating options from large vendors, they selected the flexible and customizable WSO2 Identity Server from vendor WSO2.

WSO2 implemented an OpenID-based SSO solution that centralized identity management, handling 2,000 login requests per second. This provided significant results including improved user productivity by saving an estimated 20 seconds per login, increased security, streamlined administration, and reduced helpdesk costs. ELM was particularly pleased with WSO2's around-the-clock support and the successful project, which was completed with the help of WSO2 engineers within two months.
