Brenntag cuts internal order processing time from 3 days to 1 with WSO2

Brenntag, a global leader in chemical distribution, faced inefficiencies in its internal intercompany trading processes, with orders taking up to three days to process. To digitize these operations and seamlessly integrate with its core SAP ERP system, Brenntag's digital hub, DigiB, turned to vendor WSO2 for its API Management, Identity and Access Management, and Integration solutions.

WSO2 implemented a microservice cloud-based, container-friendly platform called Brenntag Source. This solution used WSO2 API Manager, WSO2 Enterprise Integrator, and WSO2 Identity Server to expose over 110 APIs and integrate various systems. The result was a 60% reduction in processing time, enabling internal orders to be completed in one day instead of three, while also creating a more agile, scalable, and resilient architecture for the organization.
