An API-centric Microservices Platform for Jurong Port's Digital Transformation Journey

Jurong Port, a major multipurpose port operator in Singapore, needed to modernize its two-decade-old technology stack to support its digital transformation and become a “Next Generation Multipurpose Port.” The company wanted an API-centric approach to break up a monolithic application into microservices for greater scalability, easier deployment, and better management, and chose WSO2 products for the initiative.

WSO2 implemented WSO2 API Manager and WSO2 Identity Server to create a secure API-centric platform with OAuth2-based authentication, authorization, and rate limiting. As a result, Jurong Port enabled safe information sharing with partners, completed a fast microservices rollout, and improved efficiency by combining WSO2 with DevOps practices.
