AlmavivA Adopts Lean Approach to Public Administration with WSO2

Almaviva Group worked with the Italian Ministry of Economy on a major data-management transformation to create a single, certified source of employee information for the public sector. The challenge was to integrate separate personal-data and economic-data systems and serve salaries and personal records as self-service for millions of public administration employees, using WSO2 products for the master data management (MDM) solution.

WSO2 provided a flexible, open-source platform that Almaviva Group used to build the “Anagrafica Unica” solution with components such as WSO2 ESB, DSS, Identity Server, Message Broker, Governance Registry, and BAM. The implementation centralized management, improved interoperability and monitoring, and simplified deployment and operations; the system now manages data for 3.5 million employees and supports a one-click path from staging to production.
