Bouquetin Pyrénées launches a 100% mobile PWA with WS Interactive

The customer, Bouquetin Pyrénées, an institution focused on tourism and the reintroduction of the ibex to the French Pyrenees, faced the challenge of monitoring the species across a vast area. They engaged vendor WS Interactive to create a practical and engaging digital tool to facilitate and encourage hikers to report ibex sightings, moving from an initial website to a need for a mobile solution.

WS Interactive designed and implemented a Progressive Web Application (PWA) to modernize the user experience and make reporting observations easier for hikers. The solution included an interactive map with dual IGN and Google Maps backgrounds, geolocation features, and a system for uploading media files. The result was a lightweight, accessible, and inclusive application that successfully encouraged public participation in the scientific monitoring program, with the collaboration set to continue with future developments.
