Family First Medical Clinic is a solo family practice in Plaquemine, Louisiana, founded by Dr. Antonio Edwards. After outgrowing a mobile unit and moving into a permanent office, the clinic struggled with an antiquated MEDTRON EMR (green-screen), inefficient in-house billing, and a need for a simple, affordable, cloud-based system that non–tech-savvy staff and a mobile physician could use.

The practice implemented WRS EMR in October 2010 and added WRS Revenue Cycle Management in April 2012, gaining cloud access, e-prescribing, automated posting of payments, training modules, and responsive support. As a result, billing performance and aging reports improved, old claims were resolved, Meaningful Use certification was achieved, and staff and Dr. Edwards gained the flexibility to manage care remotely while restoring patient volumes and maintaining strong clinical outcomes.
