A Wrike Case Study
MTD, a veteran designer and manufacturer of outdoor power equipment (brands include Cub Cadet, Troy‑Bilt and others), launched a Product Development division to build autonomous lawn and garden products. The matrixed teams needed better process optimization and visibility for feature development—after trying Microsoft Project, Outlook, SharePoint, Smartsheet, Trello and Workfront without success, they sought a more flexible, collaborative way to assign and track work.
MTD implemented Wrike with custom workflows, a product/feature‑centric folder structure, team‑specific dashboards, tagging across folders, milestone tasks and embedded checklists. The result was unified visibility and historical tracking across disciplines, clearer collaboration (less email), faster innovation and greater confidence that requirements and tasks are visible and won’t be overlooked.
