UNSW Sydney Breaks Down Silos and Improves Cross-Division Communication With Wrike

The University of New South Wales (UNSW) Sydney, a top-50 global university with more than 59,000 students and 6,000 staff, needed to boost productivity and streamline external marketing and communications across a lean Division of External Relations. Facing incoming requests from across the university and limited time and resources, the division required a scalable platform to centralize communication, visualize work, track progress, and reduce the costly back-and-forth that slowed delivery.

UNSW scaled its existing use of Wrike, ran stakeholder workshops and intensive training, and implemented request forms, custom workflows, dashboards and automations to gather accurate briefings and route work efficiently. The change enabled cross-division collaboration for 275 users, cut email friction, increased in-tool communication by 250% in three months, improved reporting from 30% to 90%, and delivered clearer visibility into workloads and faster, more reliable project delivery.
