Security Tech Firm ABUS Uses Wrike for Secure, User-Friendly Project Management

ABUS, a German security-technology company founded in 1924 with 3,500+ employees, needed a reliable, secure way to standardize project planning and cashflow forecasting across divisions. Its Brand & Corporate Communication PMO faced fragmented workflows—email, spreadsheets, and disparate tools—making transparency, accountability, and consistent project execution difficult; head of Marketing Controlling Torsten Mühlhoff evaluated ~100 providers to find a secure, user-friendly solution.

ABUS implemented Wrike Enterprise hosted in a European data center, using rights management, encryption, project templates, request forms, and Wrike Proof to streamline intake, collaboration, and creative review. After piloting 50 accounts and expanding to 300 users, the platform rolled out company-wide, reducing IT admin, improving transparency and commitment, speeding proofing cycles, and enabling more reliable planning and cross‑departmental collaboration.
