A WP Engine Case Study

Preview of the Thinkery Case Study

Thinkery serves 460,000 children with WP Engine

Thinkery, a children's museum in Austin, faced the challenge of an outdated and clunky website that was difficult for both visitors to navigate and staff to manage. With limited internal IT resources, they needed a refresh to create a more intuitive digital experience. The nonprofit RecognizeGood connected them with vendor WP Engine, who provided pro bono expertise and their WordPress hosting platform.

WP Engine built a new WordPress site hosted on Google Cloud Platform, utilizing the Genesis framework and Genesis Blocks for the theme and layout. The solution integrated key plugins for events and eCommerce ticketing. The result was a faster, more accessible website that gave Thinkery's team easy in-house management. This proved critical during the COVID-19 pandemic, allowing them to communicate changes nimblely and efficiently to their community.
