Symbiotisk is a Copenhagen-based digital agency that specialises in WordPress sites. When Børns Vilkår engaged them to rebuild two sites ahead of the May 25, 2018 GDPR deadline, Symbiotisk had to migrate the main organisational site from Drupal and integrate donations, newsletters and social sharing, while also creating Børnetelefonen—a mobile-responsive online crisis hotline—with bespoke user permissions and secure messaging flows.

Symbiotisk used the WP Engine Digital Experience Platform to build a custom backend demo during the pitch, then completed both sites with required integrations, role-based editors and a fast DNS/WP-CLI launch. Both sites went live ahead of the deadline, are seeing increased traffic and engagement, and Symbiotisk gained the agility and maintenance support from WP Engine to focus on higher-value projects.
