Clinton Electronics, a family-owned electronics manufacturer with more than 50 years in business, sold through a dealer network from a large warehouse but was hampered by an aging, hybrid ecommerce platform that made site-wide content management difficult, lacked flexibility, and could not easily support multi-tier pricing and dealer workflows. The company needed a more extendable solution and significantly faster page load and transaction speeds.

Working with Mindsize, Clinton Electronics migrated to a WooCommerce site on WP Engine’s dedicated ecommerce environment and upgraded the server stack to PHP 7, supplemented by an optimization toolkit for WooCommerce. The changes produced about a 60% performance improvement—web transaction times fell from roughly 800–1,000 ms to about 200–600 ms—allowing the site to handle more requests and deliver faster page loads on the same hardware.
