A WP Engine Case Study
The Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival, the world’s largest festival dedicated to short films (160,000+ attendees and thousands of submissions), needed to expand its web presence while operating with a lean digital team. Their legacy proprietary CMS made even small site changes dependent on developers, slowing rollout of new content and microsites for the festival’s many programs.
By adopting WordPress and WP Engine’s Digital Experience Platform, the team gained managed updates, backups, security and a global CDN while keeping core film archives on the original system. That shift enabled the staff to launch nine external blogs and additional sites faster, improve site speed and reliability, reclaim time for festival operations and content, and confidently scale their digital footprint.
