Amping Up the Mobile Experience with a New Content Platform

Nova Entertainment built GOAT (goat.com.au) as a mobile-first pop culture and entertainment hub but faced a dated editorial experience, poor search and device compatibility, and a large legacy content migration that needed to happen without disruption. The challenge was to deliver a fast, scalable, mobile-optimized content platform that improved authoring and preserved ad revenue.

Working with XWP and WP Engine, Nova rebuilt GOAT as a performance-focused PWA with Native AMP, migrated hosting and legacy content, and implemented AMP-compatible ad tech and editorial workflow unification. The launch delivered marked gains: Google PageSpeed mobile rose from 7 to 77, time-to-interactive dropped from 43s to 10s, first contentful paint improved from 5.8s to 2.5s, and the site now runs as a stable, high-performing mobile-first platform.
