UTEC builds Peru’s first WorldViz VR lab for mechanical engineering and golf research

Universidad De Ingeniería Y Tecnología (UTEC) sought to advance its mechanical engineering education and research capabilities to be on par with leading global institutions. To meet this challenge, the university partnered with WorldViz to implement its first virtual reality lab in Peru and Latin America.

WorldViz provided a comprehensive VizMove VR solution, including ultra-short-throw 3D projection, Oculus VR headsets, and the Vizard VR software platform. This allowed UTEC researchers and students to create immersive simulations for activities like analyzing golf swing biomechanics. The results provided valuable data to optimize athletic performance, established UTEC as a cutting-edge research institution, and enabled innovative, interactive learning.
