University of Florida validates operating room designs in 1 day with WorldViz

WorldViz helped Flad Architects and their client, the University of Florida Health, to streamline the design review process for new operating rooms. The challenge was to efficiently gather critical feedback from hospital staff on multiple complex architectural designs, a process that traditionally could take months of back-and-forth communication.

The solution involved WorldViz providing a rental service and setting up their VizMove Walking VR System for a one-day session. This allowed 15-20 participants to fully immerse themselves in six different virtual operating room models, moving equipment and providing immediate feedback. As a result, WorldViz enabled the architects to collect invaluable design notes in a few hours instead of months, ensuring staff input was integrated early in the process and bridging the communication gap between designers and end-users.
