Lasell University launches a 1,100-square-foot AR/VR lab with WorldViz

Lasell University sought to enhance its hands-on, experiential learning programs across disciplines like STEM, business, and healthcare. Traditional methods were often costly and difficult to scale, creating a challenge in providing students with practical, industry-relevant skills. To address this, the university partnered with WorldViz to implement a multi-platform AR/VR solution.

WorldViz created a nearly 1,100-square-foot lab featuring a large-scale PRISM immersive projection system and a multi-user VR headset E-Learning Lab networked with Vizard software. This solution provided scalable, interactive learning environments for complex simulations, from virtual dissections to business presentations. The impact positioned Lasell as a leader in technology-driven education, improving student engagement, skill development, and career readiness, with university leadership noting it will help spark interest in STEM careers.
