Worldline helps bofrost* Italia boost business with portable points of sale

bofrost* Italia wanted to improve customer service across door-to-door, telemarketing, online, and in-store channels while making payments faster and easier. To support that goal, Worldline worked with the company on portable POS terminals that could handle advanced apps, flexible printing, fast connectivity, and multiple payment methods, including digital and contactless options.

Worldline rolled out 1,500 portable terminals with high-end configuration, multi-communication modules, and an on-board camera, along with remote management and customised maintenance services. The setup also integrated payment functions with an external Android app to print receipts and accept electronic meal vouchers. In 2020, bofrost* Italia’s business increased over 30%, POS terminals issued more than ten million receipts, roughly 50% of them from cashless electronic transactions, and sales rose 70% in the second half of March 2020 compared with normal volumes.
