Purdue University Communications Department Improved Client Relations

Purdue University’s Agricultural Communications team, led by Production Coordinator Gina Price, faced a transparency and coordination problem: internal clients across 11 departments and 92 county Extension offices didn’t know how to contact AgComm, what services were available, or how projects moved through the team. With 35 staff serving more than 300 clients and project tracking fragmented across Excel and disparate systems, Gina prioritized finding a solution that was easy to use, offered advanced reporting, and supported collaborative workflows.

After evaluating roughly 50 tools, the team implemented Workzone and worked closely with its support and training resources to onboard staff and build a strategic process. The result: consistently “above average” or “excellent” project survey scores, happier clients who appreciate clear schedules and visibility, stronger internal collaboration, and better capacity reporting and goal tracking across the department.
