A Workzone Case Study
Legacy Health, a nonprofit hospital system of about 14,000 employees across six hospitals in Oregon and Washington, faced low adoption of its project management tool, Workzone. With no consistent process in place, teams lost time to inefficient workflows, lacked clarity about who was doing what, and let stakeholder communications fall through the cracks—so Amy Elias, Creative Projects & Systems Manager, was tasked with driving system-wide buy-in.
Amy championed a gradual rollout, starting with her 35-person marketing and community relations team and partnering with Workzone’s customer success team to customize workflows, train users, and embed the tool in weekly production meetings. As adoption grew, Workzone became the single source of truth for documents, status, and reporting—removing silos, improving efficiency and visibility, enabling quick issue resolution (a vendor dispute was settled in 15 minutes), and demonstrating clear ROI to leadership.
