How Western Kentucky University Took Control of their Projects

The Division of Extended Learning and Outreach (DELO) at Western Kentucky University is a seven-person marketing team that supports a wide range of for-credit and non-credit programs across campus. Overwhelmed by requests from every department and hampered first by an email-dependent homemade system and then by an overly complex enterprise tool, the team faced confusion, missed information, lack of project vetting, and eroding trust with clients who didn’t know how to submit or track work.

The team adopted the tool quickly, reduced back-and-forth, improved visibility and collaboration, and greatly increased efficiency—email campaigns rose from under 80 to nearly 300 per year—while gaining a flexible, reliable foundation to manage growing marketing demands.
