A Workzone Case Study

How To Help Every School and Department

Kansas State University’s Creative Services team—supporting marketing, design, web, video, social and more across all three campuses—serves 100+ colleges, departments and units and was managing 300+ active projects. Rapid growth and a newly integrated division exposed major workflow problems: intake by phone, email and meetings meant requests got lost, briefs and approvals were hard to track, and the team needed a more robust system to standardize work and maintain quality.

They implemented Workzone to centralize intake, track work from brief to approval, and share creative files. Workzone captured all requests that used to be lost, logged more than 1,200 projects in the first months, and saved at least one hour per project—prompting the team (and AVP Steve Logback) to ask, “Why didn’t we do this sooner?”
