How Blue Star Pest Control’s business improved after finally making the switch to PestPac

Blue Star Pest Control, a residential and commercial pest and termite service serving Slidell, Louisiana and surrounding towns, was purchased by Armando Ruiz in 2003. While the company grew, it was held back by paper-based workflows, a manual appointment book and map that made scheduling slow (10–15 minutes per slot), and constant back-and-forth between technicians and the office. Armando knew a cloud solution could solve these issues but delayed switching from a self-hosted system until his aging server forced a decision.

In 2016 Blue Star implemented PestPac’s cloud platform, using RouteOp for fast scheduling, PestPac Mobile for real-time technician access and payments, and integrated credit card processing to eliminate double entry. The result: jobs are scheduled in minutes, technicians no longer need to pick up paper or phone the office, two employees now accomplish what used to require four, the company expanded territory (including remote staff) and operates about twice as efficiently — contributing to more than a 12x increase in annual revenue since 2003.
