Austin Industries, one of the largest U.S.-based construction companies, was struggling with an outdated, paper-heavy benefits enrollment and administration process that was inefficient, error-prone, and difficult to manage across 80 job sites. The company needed a flexible solution, and chose WORKTERRA’s BenAdmin platform, along with ACA compliance tools, to modernize benefits management for its geographically dispersed, mostly non-desk workforce.
WORKTERRA implemented the new system in less than 90 days, enabling online, mobile, and call-center enrollment, automated rate adjustments when employees changed jobs or locations, and improved support for complex benefit structures. The results were strong: the system launched on time, 85% of medical plan enrollees completed enrollment online in the first year, and Austin Industries gained easier ACA reporting and greater employee adoption of self-service benefits tools.
