American Eagle Financial Credit Union (AEFCU), a Hartford-based financial cooperative with 350 employees, wanted to become more purpose-driven and improve how it listened to employee feedback. The company had been using a single annual 80-question survey, but leaders struggled to turn the results into action, and employees were skeptical that surveys would lead to meaningful change. AEFCU turned to WorkTango’s Surveys & Insights platform to create a more responsive employee listening program.
With WorkTango, AEFCU launched frequent 20-question pulse surveys, built custom dashboards for managers, and used Action Plans to drive accountability and follow-through. The organization later added WorkTango’s Recognition & Rewards platform to strengthen peer-to-peer appreciation. The results included a 12-point increase in employee engagement to 81, a 23-point increase in action score from 43 to 66, a 16-point increase in favorability from 62% to 78%, and a jump in participation from 71% to 89%.
