EMC Runs Virtualized SAP HANA® in Production in a Hybrid Cloud

The customer, EMC, needed to confidently prove that a virtualized SAP HANA environment could run on their Vblock converged infrastructure in a production, hybrid cloud setting without sacrificing the performance and stability of a traditional dedicated appliance.

To achieve this, EMC partnered with Worksoft to use its performance and load testing software, Worksoft Performance. The solution was validated under a massive, production-level workload that simulated a month-end closing process, successfully demonstrating that the virtualized environment could handle the demand. The project proved that EMC could run a virtualized SAP HANA appliance on a Vblock with guaranteed performance and stability, enabling scalable capacity without downtime.
