A Worksoft Case Study
Kimberly‑Clark, a global consumer-products company with $20.8B in 2011 sales and 57,000 employees, faced a complex SAP landscape (four regional environments, ECC 6.0 and many integrated systems) and an upcoming SAP upgrade. Manual testing processes were inefficient and error-prone, with waste in impact analysis, test data and execution, and a need for reliable end‑to‑end testing across critical business processes.
Kimberly‑Clark built a business case and secured executive sponsorship, selected Worksoft Certify, and established an Automated Testing COE using agile cadences and reusable test components. Automation was integrated into the SAP ECC 6.0 lifecycle (25% of OTC critical tests automated in integration), lights‑out regression runs were introduced, and a virtual COE and global roll‑out plan were established—delivering faster, repeatable E2E testing, reduced manual effort, and measurable capacity to support upgrades and future projects (projected savings 25–75%).
