Using Workplace to share crucial knowledge and connect 25,000 employees around the world

Save the Children, an international charity serving over 185 million children in 120 countries, faced a communications challenge: reaching and connecting 25,000 employees across languages and remote locations. To solve this, they adopted Workplace from Meta (Workplace), replacing slow email lists and fragmented tools that limited knowledge sharing to a few hundred people.

Workplace from Meta enabled organization-wide groups, mobile Work Chat and video sharing so teams could exchange best practices and launch initiatives faster—examples include a hand-washing campaign and rapid Hurricane Matthew coordination. Within a week one resource group doubled compared with the old email list and grew to 1,200 members, the humanitarian comms lead regained one day a week previously spent compiling emails, and frontline teams collaborate more quickly and transparently.
