Using Workplace to grow a global LGBTQ+ community

It Gets Better Project, a global nonprofit supporting LGBTQ+ youth, needed a way to connect and coordinate its worldwide affiliates and improve collaboration across dispersed teams. In 2016 they adopted Workplace from Meta (using Workplace for Good, which provides Workplace Premium free to nonprofits) to replace fragmented communication and enable real‑time collaboration.

Workplace from Meta was rolled out across the organization: Workplace groups linked global affiliates, Workplace Chat enabled seamless text-to-HD voice and video calls, and integrations with tools like Dropbox reduced reliance on email for document sharing. The implementation connected all of IGBP’s global affiliates, sped up decision‑making and project work, and empowered staff to better coordinate outreach and support for LGBTQ+ youth worldwide.
