Case Study: Institute of Mental Health achieves streamlined 1:1 performance tracking and milestone management with Workplace from Meta

Track progress and milestones in 1:1 group with manager

Institute of Mental Health (IMH), a 2,000‑bed acute tertiary psychiatric hospital in Singapore, needed a better way for managers to coach staff and track performance milestones because feedback sent by email was easily lost and hard to reference. To address this, IMH adopted Workplace from Meta, using Workplace groups and its Doc feature to create dedicated 1:1 spaces between managers and direct reports for updates and documentation.

Using Workplace from Meta, IMH set up 1:1 “Secret” groups for weekly updates, task follow-ups, pinned resources, and editable Docs to record milestones and feedback. Adoption was rapid: 90% of staff claimed accounts within two months, 70% were active weekly and roughly 200 groups had formed by June 2017, with managers reporting improved closeness and easier tracking of performance progress.
