Case Study: Sam's Club achieves stronger associate engagement and improved business results with Workplace from Meta

A Workplace from Meta Case Study

Preview of the Sam's Club Case Study

Sam's Club Building and driving business results

Sam's Club, the membership warehouse business of Walmart with more than 100,000 associates across 600 retail clubs, needed a better way to connect and engage store and Home Office teams beyond top-down email. To solve this, Sam's Club adopted Workplace from Meta as a mobile-first, two-way communication platform to trial instant, peer-to-peer collaboration and company-wide dialogue.

Workplace from Meta created instant connections between all 600 clubs and Home Office, enabling rapid problem-solving (for example, crowd-sourced improvements to pickup service), wider sharing of best practices like Instant Savings merchandising, and stronger culture through leader Q&As and the “Sam’s Club Shout-Outs” group. The platform boosted awareness of initiatives, increased consistency and innovation in visual merchandising, sped issue resolution, and scaled easily with little to no training, strengthening engagement and operational consistency across Sam’s Club.
