A Workplace from Meta Case Study
RNIB, a UK charity helping people affected by sight loss, needed a way to connect a diverse national workforce, make it easier to source and curate content for RNIB Connect Radio, and prevent loss of institutional knowledge when staff left. Because around 20% of its staff are blind or partially sighted, accessibility was a critical requirement, so RNIB adopted Workplace from Meta to give everyone a usable collaboration platform.
Workplace from Meta provided accessibility tools, searchable groups and collaboration features that let blind and partially sighted employees participate fully, crowdsource radio story ideas, and capture organisational knowledge in a central repository. The result: staff adoption across the charity (including the 20% who are blind or partially sighted), improved content production for RNIB Connect Radio, better fundraising brainstorming, and retained institutional knowledge that cuts through hierarchy and unifies the organisation.
