RBS receives the Celent Model Bank 2017 Award

RBS (Royal Bank of Scotland) faced a rapidly changing market where one in five customers interacted solely via mobile and digital channels, so the bank needed a cultural shift to speed collaboration and communication across the organization. To achieve this, RBS piloted and adopted Workplace from Meta (Workplace) for its familiar, Facebook-like interface to help employees share information, form groups and surface expertise more quickly and securely.

Workplace from Meta was used to drive learning, celebrate successes and connect customer-facing teams, resulting in measurable impact: 22,000 employees completed a Service Excellence module within two months, early 2017 usage showed over 1,300 active groups, 1,500 posts and roughly 10,000 responses per day, reduced training and IT support needs, and increased transparency and collaboration—contributions that helped RBS win the Celent Model Bank 2017 award for employee productivity.
