Birds Barbershop, an independently owned chain of nine salons with 170 employees, struggled to manage real-time internal communication across multiple locations, which slowed problem-solving and operations. To address this, Birds Barbershop adopted Workplace from Meta (Workplace) to enable a mobile workforce and promote knowledge sharing.

Using Workplace from Meta’s Groups feature, Birds set up a closed "Shift Management" group with a pinned instruction post and example shift requests so teams could quickly announce open shifts and swap coverage across salons. The Workplace implementation sped up shift coordination, improved cross-shop staffing and day-to-day operations, and—according to co‑founder Jayson Rapaport—brought employees closer together and supported growing revenues.
