Make information and knowledge more accessible with a Workplace Bot

Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH), one of Singapore’s largest multi‑disciplinary hospitals with over 8,000 staff, struggled with widespread use of medical and non‑medical abbreviations and a dispersed, shift‑based workforce that made internal communications and knowledge retrieval difficult. To address this, TTSH partnered with Formative and adopted Workplace from Meta, using the platform to surface information more easily across staff on and off site.

On Workplace from Meta, TTSH and Formative launched the Short Form Bot — a searchable knowledge assistant accessible via Work Chat and Workplace posts/comments that ingests documents, accepts user submissions, and provides admin analytics. The bot created a central, maintainable knowledge base, reduced time spent asking colleagues for definitions, and improved employee experience; TTSH now has over 75% of its workforce on Workplace with 100+ active groups and about 300 posts per week (Dec 2017), showing strong adoption and measurable engagement gains.
