Case Study: BRAC achieves real-time crisis coordination and clearer communication with Workplace from Meta

Leveraging groups for real-time communication

BRAC, a 10,000+ employee charity in APAC, faced challenges sharing major announcements organization-wide and lacked a real‑time platform to coordinate responses during crises. To solve this, the organization adopted Workplace from Meta to improve internal communication and leadership transparency.

Using Workplace from Meta’s Groups and News Feed, BRAC set up channels for executive messages and an “emergency response” group where district representatives post real‑time updates and photos—allowing senior management to provide rapid guidance, clear misinformation (such as a tax ruling), and coordinate flood relief across Bangladesh. The result was faster, more transparent decision‑making across 10,000+ staff, reduced confusion, and improved ability to deliver timely aid.
