Case Study: It Gets Better Project achieves real-time global collaboration and live training with Workplace from Meta

It Gets Better Building meaningful communities to support LGBTQ+ youth all over the world

It Gets Better Project, a 200-person global nonprofit that supports and connects LGBTQ+ youth, needed a better way to coordinate its Global Affiliates, enable democratic decision-making for scholarships and events, and reduce reliance on slow email threads and duplicated training across time zones. To solve this, the organization adopted Workplace from Meta as its internal collaboration platform.

Workplace from Meta gave It Gets Better Project Groups and News Feed for pitching and visibility, Workplace Chat for instant coordination, and Live Video to replicate face-to-face meetings; Live Video calls now happen once a month per region for each Global Affiliate, and training that once required multiple sessions is now delivered as a single streamed session. As a result, decision-making and grant coordination are faster, training reach and engagement have improved, and staff report greater real-time feedback and organizational visibility.
