How using Workplace is helping build a global LGBTQ+ movement

It Gets Better Project (IGBP) is a global nonprofit that uplifts, empowers and connects LGBTQ+ youth through storytelling and a worldwide affiliate network. Facing time zones, language barriers and fragmented tools, IGBP struggled to collaborate and coordinate across its many partners until it adopted Workplace from Meta in October 2016.

Workplace from Meta provided Org Chart and real‑name profiles, Chat, Groups, Events, Live Video (HD group video up to 50 participants) and integrations with Dropbox/Google Drive, and was deployed to over 100 staff and volunteers. The platform immediately joined the organization together, improved board–staff dialogue, sped up multilingual content translation and coordinated campaign efforts, streamlined file sharing, and—according to IGBP leadership—delivered immense productivity gains.
