Healthe Care Australia, the third-largest private hospital provider in Australia and New Zealand with over 7,000 staff across 34 hospitals, faced fragmented internal communications: shift workers and dispersed sites were often out of sync, leading to miscommunication and disengagement. To address this, Healthe Care Australia adopted Workplace from Meta as a modern, mobile-first alternative to email to connect staff and management across the organisation.

Workplace from Meta provided a 24/7, familiar platform (mobile app, chat, groups, admin console) that united the 34 hospitals and enabled real-time updates, shift fills, knowledge sharing and peer recognition. As a result, 87% of staff report improved communication, engagement in the employee recognition program rose sixfold, about 25% of employees have been recognized by peers, uptake exceeded 80% despite being voluntary, and cross-hospital collaboration and information sharing markedly increased.
