Enhance your employees’ experience with food with a ‘Chefbot’

A1 Telekom Austria Group wanted to boost social interaction and improve employees’ daily dining experience by making menus and food photos easy to share and discover. Using the Workplace from Meta platform, they launched "Chefbot" to answer “What’s the menu today?”, accept pictures from staff, push daily menu reminders, and surface food posts in a dedicated Workplace group.

Built on Workplace from Meta, Chefbot supports image messaging, scheduled notifications, backend XML/CSV menu imports and admin configuration; it was rolled out after an early-access trial and promoted in canteens and announcement groups. The launch saw more than 400 users in the first week, generated many requests to add more canteens and countries, and sparked other departments to propose new bot use cases — demonstrating clear engagement gains and platform-driven adoption for A1 Telekom Austria Group.
