MakeMyTrip, India’s largest online travel company, faced the common challenge of helping new hires feel welcomed and quickly integrated. To solve this, MakeMyTrip adopted Workplace from Meta to create a social, company-wide onboarding channel that makes first days less intimidating and more engaging.

Using Workplace from Meta, HR set up an open “Newbies” group, posted individual introductions, shared orientation photos and videos, updated weekly cover photos, and encouraged day‑one testimonials and first posts. The result was higher early engagement—new hires actively post and receive peer welcomes on day one—leading to faster cultural integration and a more inclusive onboarding experience.
