Collaborate on research topics across cross-functional teams

Tan Tock Seng Hospital, one of Singapore’s largest multi-disciplinary hospitals with over 8,000 staff and 3,600 nurses spread across shifts and off-site locations, faced a communications challenge: reaching frontline and remote staff quickly and consistently. To streamline internal communications and support nursing research collaboration, the hospital adopted the Workplace platform from Meta (Workplace from Meta) to enable real‑time, cross‑team dialogue and engagement.

Using Workplace from Meta, TTSH created targeted groups, ran engagement campaigns and polls, and complemented offline training with online quizzes and peer discussions to boost knowledge sharing. The platform achieved rapid adoption—over 75% of the workforce on the platform—with more than 190 active groups and 309 posts per week (Dec 2017)—making it easier to reach staff across shifts, increase participation in nursing research, and sustain two‑way learning and collaboration.
