Case Study: KRE8ivU achieves expanded virtual training and community engagement with Workplace from Meta

KRE8ivU, a South Carolina–based creative after-school program teaching music production and cinematography/filmmaking, needed to scale beyond campus classrooms that held just 25 students and rapidly move instructor training and lessons online. After evaluating Convene, Google Classroom and Canvas, KRE8ivU chose Workplace from Meta for its ease of use and built-in features like Live Video, Newsfeed, Groups and Polls.

Using Workplace from Meta, KRE8ivU shifted lessons and onboarding to Live Video, archived classes for on-demand viewing, and built community and collaboration through Groups, Polls and the Newsfeed. The move enabled 100% of new tutors to be onboarded virtually since March 2020, connected 200+ students via Workplace and delivered 500+ hours of streamed training, while providing engagement metrics to measure student and staff interaction.
