Archive hospital ward rounds’ insights with live videos

The Institute of Mental Health (IMH), a 2,000-bed tertiary psychiatric hospital in Singapore, needed a way to capture and share insights from ward rounds so staff who could not attend — including new joiners and junior clinicians — could learn across specialties. To solve this, IMH adopted Workplace from Meta, using Workplace’s live video feature to record, archive and distribute ward-round discussions within closed departmental groups.

Using Workplace from Meta, IMH set up closed groups, went live for ward rounds, and archived videos for on-demand access and commenting, which boosted participation and knowledge sharing. The rollout led to 90% of staff claiming accounts within two months, 70% weekly active use, and roughly 200 groups by June 2017, driving enhanced community learning, a larger institutional knowledge base, and increased cross-functional sharing.
