Announce training calendar, manage attendees and share course materials with participants

Tan Tock Seng Hospital faced a complex training‑communications challenge: with some 3,600 nurses (many without corporate emails) spread across shifts and locations, announcing courses, distributing notes, collecting evaluations and issuing certificates required multiple roll calls and heavy reliance on Reporting Officers. To simplify this, Tan Tock Seng Hospital adopted Workplace from Meta (Workplace) as its internal communications and training platform.

Using Workplace from Meta, the Nursing Education & Practice (Training) team created an open “Training Wiki” and closed course groups, posted course details with @tagging, uploaded course notes, shared evaluation links, and used the Events tool to track attendance. The new workflow cut out time-consuming RO dissemination, enabled direct communication with participants, and drove strong adoption — over 75% of staff on the platform, more than 100 active groups and about 300 posts per week (Dec 2017) — while making course management and attendance tracking far more efficient.
